Armaplate Fitting Guide
This guide is designed to help you to fit your new security product the Armaplate Sentinel quickly and without fuss. Please note, however that it is assumed by the author that you are technically competent and have some experience of working on vehicle bodywork and locking systems. hilst every effort has been made to ensure this document contains no errors or misleading information, Armaplate cannot accept responsibility for any damage caused by third-party installation work.STEP 1
The first step is to ensure that you havel all the parts required in order to carry out the installation work. Check the packaging against the list of items shown on your delivery note. For each door, you should have one stainless-steel plate, one zino-coated plate, one gasket and the appropriate number of Nyloc nuts. If your vehicle has central locking, never leave your keys in the van whilst installing Armaplate. You may accidentally activate the locking mechanism with your keys inside.STEP 2
Next you should make sure that you have the correct tools to hand. You will need the following...- Electric (or battery operated) Drill.
- 3mm Steel Drill-Bit 8mm Steel Drill-Bit
- Conical Hole-Cutter
- Screwdrivers
- 10mm socket, ratchet & spanner
- Size-25 & 30 Torx Bits
- Tack Remover
- Silicone Sealant
- Touch-Up Paint
- Goggles
Step 3
Make sure you are working in a comfortable environment and that the area is well lit. It may be worthwhile having a torch handy too!
